Renaissance Redneck
I had high hopes for this build from the start, and happy to see you are not going to disappoint me!

It has been some time since my last update, Sorry

Most recent project I'm working on is a Sleeping platform that includes a 54" pull out storage box a 27 gallon fresh water tank and Logistic Aluminum tie down tracks. Basics are complete just have a couple hours left of finishing work and mounting of the tie rails then the front storage box/platform construction begins.

More to come

We came across a pair of Subaru seats in great condition asking 200obo but instead he traded me for a SO 3/8 Air Ratchet I was looking to let go of. So wallah new seats in the 80!

I love this! I've been a subaru fan for over a decade having owned a few and having spare seats too. How did the install go? Did you create custom brackets? How is the ride height of the seats compared to the stock seats?
Great work! Those WRX seats are a dime a dozen and cheap!

Thanks, Yes I actually completely cut off the original brackets on the WRX seats and built up new brackets as I didn't want to cut out anything on the LC just in case I ever wanted to go back to the original seats. As for the ride height, it is higher then stock seats especially on the passenger side due to the heater blower under that seat but its doable and I really like the comfort and hold of the sport style seats.

Coated the platform with a rubberized coating his weekend as well as installing the water tank fill neck. The coating turned out a little on the glossy side but hopefully should scuff up and loose that glare.

sorry for the halt in the project. Since mid. february I have become quite ill and have been on the road to recovery since. I've been collecting parts since and little by little have been trying to get my life back to some type of normalcy starting with the install of a dual battery system I just started.

I cut off the muffler box's bracket and removed it to make room for the 91-2 LC passenger side battery box

I didn't actually drill all the way through just enough to pop off the bracket, then painted the drilled spots with a touch of paint for rust prevention.

This past weekend the wife and I decided to put the dual battery project aside and install the rear Bar including tyre and dual can swing outs.

The installation went together very easily. First we removed the oe bumper side caps, mud flaps along with the aluminum top plate and the bumper's left and right under structure so all that was left was the fame (pic). From there the mud flaps were reinstalled then the bar was lifted into place and bolted down. Then both swing outs installed by placing them over the spindles then dropping in the top barring, flat washer and tightening the castle nut followed by a cotter pin and dust cap. Wiring was quick and easy as well since the harness was equipped with plugs that tapped into the existing oe harness located right side rear area of the spare tyre.
