nice rig! ours are very similar, although mine is a 97. It too is a limited, e-locker, 4.30, anthracite, ome lift, 265/75, recaro baby seats, and ARB!

Looks like you have some very nice plans for this thing too! love the pics from out in the woods with it

Your Runner sounds like mine's twin minus the ARB, which will hopefully come sooner than later. I would love to see a pic or two of your truck. Feel free to post in my thread or shoot me a PM.

Here is a couple of pics...I have a thread somewhere in this section. I haven't updated it in a while because it makes me sad looking at my thread realizing I don't have any decent upgrades to update with!

Don't be depressed your truck looks like its set up great! Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm sold on the ARB I just wish it was a tad bit wider to line up better with the wider flares on limited 4Runners.

BTW is that a MKIV GLI I spied in one of the pics on your build thread

indeed. blue lagoon 04.5 6spd, recaros, coilovers, nuespeed intake otherwise stock. I just sold it in May. Was a fun little car, but could be an electrical nightmare!

surprisingly the width of the ARB doesn't bother me. I really like the shrockwords bumpers but IMO not worth almost double the price. they function the same, so I feel like i'm just paying for the appearance and I think I'd rather spend money elsewhere.

What do you plan on doing next with your rig?

Mmmmm.....Blue Lagoon you say....I've always had a soft spot for the late MKIV GLIs. I'm a bit of a VW guy myself as I daily drive a MKV GTI with a few mods. I'm constantly torn between spending vehicle upgrade money on the car or the truck.

A pic of my car on the "Tail of the Dragon" on the way back from SoWo in May.

I digress......sorry back on topic. Next mods for the 4Runner will be the ARB bumper and a set of 1" hubcentric wheel spacer and possibly having the ARB color matched to the lower cladding as it's in need of paint as well.

UUGGHHH, i wish the dragon wasn't so far away! must have been an awesome event. If you end up color matching the future ARB you definitely need to post a ton of pics. I'm very curious to see how it will look

How are you expecting the 881's to hold up with the ARB? I've got a '99 (sits higher stock than other years) and am wondering if it will sit lower when I put my 881's and ARB on.

I have 882's with my ARB/Winch combo. I'd recommend it. the 881's might need a top plate spacer to compensate for the sag. Even though they both have the same spring rate the 882 coils are nearly 1" taller

I have the same and not sure why the 99's seem a bit higher? I am running 265/75R16s and don't have any rubbing issues. I am considering changing the suspension but don't have much experience with it stock yet to make a decision. I need to offroad more and decide.

I'm actually banking on the 881s dropping the front of my truck down a bit with the ARB. I'm running the OME 906 rear coils and with the stock front bumper my truck is dead level if not a bit nose high. I prefer a slight rake so the truck sits level when loaded so I intentially went with the 881s up front to compensate for the ARB bumper.
