Overland Biking Southern AZ: April 21-22, 2007

F'in, I think the TTT is perfect for a meet/food spot.

But I have changed my plans slightly. I think I will bring the jeep and the mongeral. I need to work a bit on my photography skilz (or lack there of). The jeep will offer a better platform to work from.

TTT is fine with me, as good a place as any to launch from, plus top off on fuel.

I have not been posting up very often lately but I am still planning on this trip. I will do it on bike and I have a dual band HT radio.

Only factors in my way as of now are
1- need to make sure grandparents can watch the kids on Saturday
2- Need to check my bike, my air/oil shocks had a bit of a puddle under them when I looked the other day -- that can't be good!

Also, would it be possible for my bike and I to hitch a ride to tucson with a vehicle from Phoenix?

Ok, cool. If Seth is going to take the bike for my brother, then I've got space for two bikes. Brian, it looks like you can ride down with Aaron or Seth.

I have a bike rack that will fit into a 2" reciever and hold 4 -- yes FOUR -- Bikes!

Brian, I think your rack will work with my receiver so we can make that happen. I have no kid or dog coming on this trip so I have room for gear as well.

Mark, I did notice the date change.

Lets get a caravan plan together. Where, and when. Perhaps somewhere off of I-10 and Ray or Chandler Blvd. I think there is a gas station right off of I-10 and Chandler. How does that sound? and what time should we meet up?

We are planning on it, need to camp in the back yard the weekend before to make sure the girls are up for it. I'm looking forward to it, that's for sure.

Meeting Spots
Saturday April 28, 6:30am (Chandler area): Chevron at Chandler Blvd & I-10, just West of the highway

Saturday April 28, 8:30am (Tucson area: TTT Truck Stop, I-10 & Craycroft, Exit 268 Quote: "Best apple pie ever!"

I'm giving us 2 hours to get to the Tucson meeting spot. I think that's plenty; someone can correct me.
