[QUOTE="out of curiosity, would you have been able to keep the mid ship (guessing here) if you wanted/was feasible or does OEV use that space for a grey tank or something ?

Yes the gray water tank goes amidships

♫ Off road, again. Just can't wait to get...
I heard back from Arnold regarding BASE CAMP width specs. I'd also mentioned that the hard sided BASE CAMP mentioned an opened and closed height which does not apply, of course, so that is to what he's referring in the below response about correcting the height...

"The exterior width is 82 and the interior is 78.
Thanks for catching this, we will make the corrections on the height as well."

That water closet just strikes me as a big stone anchor. A lot of mechanicals including batteries all the way in the back, maybe fresh water also. I like the dual stovetop, but would the Truma Combi not work and have less complicated systems?

No pass-through on this one. Like to see underneath and see how the mechanicals and gray tank are set in the frame.

Hey that’s my rig, aka, JuannaGo.

I can get pics of the underside. Not sure what the “stone anchor” comment means. I’ve removed the Thetford, and will make it a pantry.

Fresh water is under the cooktop.

JuannaGo was my army truck an LMTV.
JuannaGo2 was my OEV Summit.
JuannaGo3 is my Base Camp. I’ll still refer to it as JuannaGo2 most often. A play on “wanna go too?”. Thank you to my daughter for the name(s).

And sometimes JuJustgottaGo, which is why having a bathroom in the Base-Camp is handy. :ROFLMAO:

(Brought the below over from the OEV "Backcountry / Camp-X" thread)

I bought the 2021 Base Camp HW (now also being renamed, I think) from Vroamer in early December after it was in the market for about 6 months. The pics on the OEV site are of our camper, SN 001. We were out of town for most of January so I’ve had about 6 weeks with it so far, but couldn’t be happier. (We were in a 2006 6.0 Sportsmobile for past 6 years and this is a significant step up). Minor system upgrades and repairs, as well as additions for solo travel and recovery, are in the works as I have time.

So thanks in advance, and we will see you out there. We are in the Auburn area in Northern CA if anyone is nearby…..happy to check other rigs out and have a beer!

Eric

Hi Eric,

Congrats on the Basecamp! Looks like a great setup. Since I am also a Sportsmobile guy looking to transition to OEV (probably the Hudson Bay), I was wondering if you might elaborate on the nature of the "significant step up" ?
