As a conference pro, in that I've been to many, been excited about a few, I have to say OX09 was the most inspiring "conference" I've ever had the privilege of presenting at.

Everything about OX09 was engaging. Everyone was a sheer delight to talk to, from the training classes and presentation to the exhibitors, I have never seen so many excited and engaged people at a conference as I did this weekend.

If OX09 doesn't get people on the road, nothing will. But it'll get people on the road!

I wouldn't be worried about the Thule rack, it's the flimsy JK roof that it appears to be bolted directly into. I sure hope there is some internal support that ties the rack into the roll bar, but my guess is that it is just a show rig.

Did you guys see how AEV mounted the full length ARB Simpson rack to the Overland JK? That was pretty sweet:

I dont think it was AEV who made the mounts, I believe it was the mopar guys

You should have. It was a great time with great people. I wish we had the time to partake in one or two of the seminars, and I would have liked to stay for a movie or two also. Next year I'll set aside more time for this event. It was a good time. A huge thank you to Roseann, Scott, and crew who put this great event together. I'll be attending next year too.

i talked to a thule rep last week. he said that the jk thule setup is plenty for a rtt. the JK setup is rated for 165lbs dynamic, i believe the arb rtt is about 90-100lbs.

Don't forget the MBRP rack, thats good for over 700 lbs and MBRP states the rate will support 500 lbs

All the JK hardtop does, is stabilize the supports, it is strong

Looks like we missed a fun and informative event. Prior commitments to rising trout and tight lines in the southern hemisphere prevented my attendance this year. I hope that the organizers are looking to the 2010 calendar with a repeat performance. I've blocked out April with "Taxes09" and "OE2010".

I agree with Nick.

I've keynoted and presented hundreds of times around the world, but I've never spent 2.5 hours on Q&A like we did after one of our Lessons Learned sessions.

It was a real treat to have the opportunity to share with and learn from so many passionate attendees.
