the helionox came in today :)
comparing to the REI flex lite the Helinox is nicer
I keep calling it heliox :) since I taught diving for 15 years I am more used to the word heliox than helinox :) hahahaha

will follow up with some pics but its a bit wider the pocket areas are larger padded area and the shape of the seat puts the back up a touch higher on your back making it more comfy
my wife my 8 year old girl and myself all feel the helinox is more comfy

Hey Honu,
The Helinox and the REI Flex Lite are pretty much the same chair. The Helinox is a company started by DAC a Korean company that makes all the poles you see in tents. Big Agnes just distributes them here in the US. Since REI is so big they did a special make up of the chair for them. They should be exactly the same chair just one takes out the middle man so you get a better price.

Joey hope you had a great trip cant wait to see pics if you took some :)

also curious when you might get the long benches in again :)

also my low 30 chair comes in tomorrow found one place that had it in stock still so excited to try it :)

question for you the Khaki color ? is that a current color or older stock they have around ?
kinda confused on color options ?
also any ETA on more of these chairs ? just in case we want another one ?

plan is two helinox and maybe a 3rd and the SP low if its comfy and or a second if the wife wants one also :)

I will be doing a quick once over on the Helinox vs the REI amazingly they are quite dif feeling after a few hours of sitting and well worth the $20 extra bucks for the Helinox IMHO at least :)
the cut and the extra inch really go a long way to making your back more supported
our old super low fold out REI chair we had for the kids my girl thought it was more comfy than the REI Flex Lite and now the Helinox is her favorite :)

amazingly while quite similar they are quite dif :)

Ordered the REI Flex Lite chair (thankfully just one) in hopes of shedding the bulk and weight of the $6 soft walmart type chairs, my truck is very space challenged since we're a family of 2 adults, 1 10yo and a 55lbs dog. I've tried a few other chairs too and I just keep going back to the same darned $6 chairs to bring with us while the other fancier chair collection sits in the garage. I really had high hopes for the Flex Lite chair after reading rave reviews mostly on advrider.com. While the Flex Lite definitely sheds the weight and bulk it feels flimsy, doesn't provide the back/neck support or an arm rest- unless you sit with your arms folded across your chest. I asked the gf to try it without mentioning my initial impressions and she gave it a thumbs down too for the same reasons. I guess it's back to the same $6 chairs :(

for the head thing did a mod that made it nice and supported the head and was easy to do :)

sadly the Kermit are also big bucks but pack small ? finding a nice comfy that packs small chair is very very limited :(
