Overland Journal Needs to Borrow a FZJ80 Land Cruiser

Hello All,

Overland Journal is going to be conducting a comprehensive equipment test that we need a clean, near-stock FZJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser for. We will pay your fuel to Prescott (as long as the drive is not too far, preferably Phoenix) and give you a loaner vehicle (promise it will be cool) and also provide you with some serious swag once the test is over. The test will take two full days. The truck does need to look clean, have no notable stickers and have tasteful modifications so as not to distract from the item being tested.

Originally, we thought our own 80 series would be back at the office from Panama, but plans changed and it still sits way far south.

Please send me a note if you are interested: scott (at) overlandjournal (dot) com

I have a 92 FJ80 in Prescott, but not sure if that year will work for what you are needing it for. Not stock, but super clean.

Chris if they give you the keys to a mog just keep on trucking :sombrero:

Seriously though let us know what a journal loaner is

Depending on what you are testing, just remember the 1991/1192 is a completely different truck from the 93/94 series and then the 95/97 series. If it is drivetrain related, then you have to be aware of that. It is a FJ80 and not a FZJ80

Too many plans, not enough time
What Slee said....so in that vien I've got a pretty 97 40th Anniv

...although, I'm in South Carolina and gas may be a bit more than you planned for...

Is this for the jumping test I've been hearing about? Your going to jump a stock 80 over a 30' dune vs. a prerunner setup:elkgrin:

well, this is all my fault...our Expo Land Cruiser is still down at Panama Passage, I am on my way on the plane right now to bring it back somewhere...perhaps Costa Rica, Guatemala or South America...

Stock 1993 FZJ80

Although not near Prescott I have a 1993 FZJ80 that is stock and factory locked near Denver that I would be willing to relinquish in the name of RD. Always looking for new and different ideas and options for the Landcruiser. Only mods are two car seats, CB and IPF driving lights.

I'm in Flagstaff, AZ and would be willing to offer a Fzj80...1995...not stock...OME susp and ARB winch bar...snorkel...no other mods...

I heard they were going to answer the "what's the REAL fording depth of an 80 series?" question.:)
