Thanks Kojack.

Jeep won't be getting any attention for the next little while. Lots of stuff going on right now and apart from getting driven this build will be paused while I sort out my life. I'm hoping to get it out for some trail runs and a few snow days in deep powder. It's now my full time daily driven since the Subaru had a turbo failure. I decided to sell the Subaru instead of fixing it since there's a good chance the motor might have been damaged when the turbo oil seal failed. I really don't have the time to work on cars right now

Great build man, reading through this inspired me to sell my xj and pick up an overland a few weeks ago. Wanted to ask if you could post of some pictures of your arb pump install? Thanks

It's fairly simple to install. All the pics I have of the install are on here. Hopefully you can find something that helps.

So... I hate to ask, long term report on the KO2s?

My tires I ordered are on back order(DuraTracs) and I'm debating just getting the BFGs... They're cheaper...

Great looking WJ....

I can't recommend the KO2's highly enough. They are great tires, even better than the original KOs.

Cool looking wj!

Thanks guys.

All I can say about the KO2 is WOW.

I loved the KO a lot. They were my favorite tires. I made the decision to get the KO2 based on how good the KO were. I don't regret it one bit. Timing was also great since I switched from my AWD transfer case to a part time one. I really feel like the guys at BFG did an amazing job with the new generation. The KO2 is quiet which is great on the highway. I've had them in some very slick mud and was able to follow a friend with Toyo MT everywhere he went. No issues so far in the rain. Now, where I've noticed the biggest difference is in the snow. The KO were great in the snow but on my previous vehicles I could get the truck to slide with a bit of gas pedal action. Now with the KO2, in 2wd, I have a hard time getting the jeep to slide. The tires do a great job even on hard packed snow and ice. My driveway has an incline to it and I usually stop in front of the garage to let the door open before I drive in. I had no issues driving into the garage with the back tires on ice. With my previous set of KO I always found them good in deep snow but very slick on hard packed or ice. I have around 10,000 miles on the tires now and they have yet to let me down. Of course they don't perform as good as studded winter tires but they are definitely the best AT tire I've driven in the winter. Definitely better than Duratracs in my opinion.

Hope this helps.

Not much new on the Jeep lately. Tried fitting a set of Toyo MT 285-76-17 with no luck. I'm not too keen on trimming my fenders at this point. I like the way the Jeep looks right now. It could use tires one size up. Thinking about 285-70-17. Moved the front axle forward almost an inch to clear larger tires. I'll have to see if it's enough when I pull the trigger on new tires and gears.

Hello I am prepping to build my wj limited v8 QD and I am putting an arb locker in the rear, but I have heard that the axle shafts from the VariLock axles don't work with an arb. Did you have to change yours? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Sorry for the late reply. I was told that the Vari Lock axles won't work with the d44a Arb locker. They need to be switched over to a regular d44a axle set. Junk yard would be a good place to find them.

No problem I was able to do a bit of cross referencing with east coast gear supply and a few other sites and was able to order some new shafts. By the way your build is one of the main reasons I wanted to go with the wj over the wk. I had built a zj before and I just wasn't happy with my 4th gen 4runner and I sold that after buying a wj and I've been getting all my parts over the last couple weeks.

I'm looking forward to your build. Mine is on a bit of a hold for a little bit. Dreaming about the next level for it.
