Got to guide some new friends across Missouri check out geeks4x4 at all the places, he drove his rock crawler from Washington to Missouri.

Been pretty slow on updates lately, here is the newest lightning rendition of the burb. The cheapest name brand lights I could get. I am slightly disappointed in Hella with these but I guess they do everything they say.

Lost the rear driveshaft 65-70 mph down the 4 lane. This is all I could find still in the tcase. I have no idea where the shaft went. That slip yoke plug I cary came in clutch. Locked it in 4x4 and continued our errands and loaded the burb down with lumber and drove the hour back home. Yes I have a torq locker in the front, yes I could tell it was up there, no it wasn’t scary

I’ve been running around in front wheel drive for the last couple of weeks doing everything I normally do. Well maybe the Burb isn’t meant to be run in front wheel drive for weeks. The driver’s side axle unjoint said “no more”. I got it put back together but it wasn’t happy. I’m going to throw some tack welds on those caps when I get back home while I’m searching for another axle shaft.

I also got the tree sliders/rub rail done this long weekend. This pics were from one more test fit. To install them I put silicone on the back of each not only to seal but also as an integral part of the mounting process. The strength silicone has as an adhesive in mounting situations like this is outstanding.
