Ozark Trail "High Performance" cooler - any good?

I've yet to see one on a shelf in person at a Wal-Mart. Apparently I was very lucky to get my 26 quart back in the spring.

My Dad now thinks it's fumy to say "I seen a bunch of coolers like yours at Wal-mart yesterday" to which I'm asking, where at, what town, then he says "just kidding."

I'll still probably get a 52q first chance I get.

Chandler is over 50 miles away. The Buckeye store is about 10. I do have to be out toward Awatukee tomorrow, I am going to check to see if I can do the in store pick up for that one!

I gotcha. In the event you need to, the store on Arizona Ave is 5 minutes up the San Tan from Awatukee!

I picked up the 52 qt today and there is still one on the shelf at the Walmart in Buckeye.

Heading to Chandler for the 26 tomorrow.

I have to be insane to drive all over the valley for a cooler only found at Walmart....I wish my husband appreciated all of this!

I am curious to how Wal-Mart decides what stores get them. Asheville, NC where I am located is known for being an outdoors town but none of the stores carry them here. Maybe we should start a separate thread for Wal-Marts with coolers and for those that can pick them up and ship to those of us who have none in the area.

It's getting old watching for these 52's, but I'm still watching. I was able to pick up two of the 26 qt's - very happy with them!

I saw the 52 at the stores in Riverside CA a few weeks ago while I was out there - just not a good (read convenient) way to get them home on the plane.

I've never seen any in stock at any of the Ohio stores either.

To my knowledge, we've never seen one in SoCal.

Someone is selling them on ebay and making a good profit.

this is crazy. i'm just outside of charlotte, nc and saw them at my local walmart weeks ago. not in the camping supplies as expected, but at the front of the store in the rotating special section. there were probably 4-5 52s and a whole wall of 26s. i didn't think a thing about them becoming unobtanium. so i passed them up thinking supply would be fine. should've picked a few up.

My wife picked up a 26 for me in Orlando today...it was Walmart on W. Princeton, they only had 2 26's. Walmart here in Gulf Breeze had a couple of 26s, couple of 52s and one 73 on August 24th...three days later they were all gone. I saw the 52s were in stock until about 20 minutes ago online but are gone now...high demand...low stock.

any one having issue with the clear lid on the metal cups? My newer tinted lids seal and hold much better.

I have the new tinted lid style and an older style. The older one with the clear lid is a super tight fit and sometimes pulls the gasket out of its groove. The tinted one is looser and fits much better, like my wifes Yeti does.

Other than the drink coolers and cups, they are out of stock all over southern Idaho.
