I've had this code off and on for a while for "speed sensor A" on a 2008 4Runner with no mods. I understand that it's associated with the speed sensor, but I haven't been able to discern which one. They all look fine visually. Various sources around the web say that it's for the speed sensor(s) in the transmission, others that this model doesn't have speed sensors in the transmission, only at the wheels. Is there a way to narrow down which set to test?

I tested all of the speed sensors on the wheels and the ones on the transmission. They all gave a similar resistance reading except for the front DS one, it read about twice as much as the others, and twice the reading of the probes in direct contact with each other. Is that enough resistance to say that that sensor is the problem even though it doesn't show a complete break?
