Partner stove ?

Is the Patner stove worth the extra $ ?

Price not being the problem but want to hear from users that is is worth it (Quality, durability ,spare parts (hope I wouldn't need them LOL) and effficiency) or should I buy a cheaper camp stove.

A really solid stove well worth it - always works and cleans easily.

One slight draw back - have mine for two years now, it came with the older style Propane bottle hook up on the hose end Maybe they have updated by now.

Best stove I've seen.

We have been selling them for about 3 years, one problem in all that time, a blocked jet. Easily cleaned with a "G" string for a guitar.

Buy cheap and buy often, I'm expecting the Partner Steel stove to be the last stove I buy.

I've had my Partner for almost two years and couldn't be happier. I'm with Martyn, last stove I should ever need.

Great stove, great adjustment at the dial (unlike some that are more like a on/off dial) and super beefy/strong, easy to clean.

Side question: Does everyone elses make a flame a foot tall if you crank up the dial like ours? Just askin' :hehe: I just noticed this on our last trip. I can literally catch our roof top tent or awning on fire if i 'wanted' too. It's insane.

I think yours is outfitted with the emergency fire beacon if ever you need to flag down an aircraft. :shakin:

I bought a CampChef River Runner some years ago. I would have considered a Partner stove if I had known about it.

The Camp Chef River Runner weighs 15 lbs. (aluminum case and wings, stainless burners) and puts out 20,000 BTUs. It retailed about $149 street price - less than the Partner unit by about $100. This model seems to have been discontinued by Camp Chef.

I have looked at the Partner stove unit closely - it seems to be very well built, weihs a bit more than the CC River Runner, puts out about 15,000 BTUs, IIRC, and sells for about $250. Made in the USA - Idaho, I think. Overall this is the best larger camp stove currently on the market.

I too have the dual burner Partner stove (came with my AT Horizon trailer). Have put it through its paces the past 18-months. It is a great stove but I have two nits:

#1: It would be nice when using it when the wind is blowing to have a wind screen. The wind screen is integral to the free standing stove but not apart of my slide out stove on my trailer. Not a big deal for me to fab something up though. And, again, if you are looking at the free standing version it comes with the windscreen.

#2: The pan grate is fine for larger pans but for small pots, espresso makers, etc. I had to weld a few SS cross pieces in to make it work better. Not a big deal if you have a welder but this is a design detail that Partner could remedy without much cost if any.

Other than that it is easy to clean and will last longer than me ;-)

Durable, and very easy to clean. Easiest to clean over any other stove I own.

I agree on the 2 points:

1) Needs a windscreen
2) Could use tighter spacing on the grate sections for smaller pots, coffee makers, etc.

Wind screen testing for the Horizon slide away version is in progress. Once we have a good workable solution we'll let you know.

I love mine. I have the three burner for a little more room. It's built to be the last stove you will buy. Being thrown from a raft to the shore is nothing for these things. Try that with a lesser stove.
