Partner Stoves?

Just received one of the latest batch of 22" bags for my Partner.

Great quality, and super-fast delivery. Couldn't be more pleased with Blue Ridge service.

Pictures? I went to order one the other day and it said out of stock on the 22" bags. I'll go check again.

Having emailed them and asked that exact question, it was explained to me that the "out of stock" simply means there aren't any sitting on the shelf ready to send out.
I was told to order one despite the "out of stock" message, and that one would be sewn up and on its way to me within a week or two. In fact it was only a couple of days.

You should consider dropping them an email, to confirm the possibility of another run. Or perhaps there is still one or two from the run mine came from in stock.

In short ... don't trust the "out of stock" message to mean you can't order one.

I previously had an 18" but from a post on MUD from a guy that just went with the 22" it looks like more room for group cooking :).

5/16" steel flush style nut-serts with SS knurled adjusters. I added a little aqua seal to the bottom of the adjuster feet just in case things get slippery ;). All sourced from MMC (McMaster-Carr). I did run a die down the adjusters to get flush threads so the adjusters sit flush in storage.

Ok, I must be some kind of noob or something.... I've tried searching McMaster-Carr for these adjustable legs & had no luck.... would someone be kind to post a link to the item? Please... :REOutCampFire03:

I have a quick question that I am hoping someone can answer. I went camping last week up in Colorado. I normally cook on the Partner stove using the 20lb tank. I bought a Camp Chef 1lb adapter and used a small Coleman green propane bottle with it. When I first connected it I got nothing. Then after tightening it more by hand I got some flow out of both burners. When I went to ignite then the gas stopped flowing. I couldn't get them to "hiss" propane anymore. There were other available stoves so I didn't fight with it and just assumed it was because of the smaller 1lb bottle. Is this true? Does anyone cook with the smaller bottles with this stove?

I've used 1lb disposable bottles with my Partner Stoves without issue. The only thing I can think of, in addition to defective adapter: Propane bottle too cold? Maybe lower gas pressure associated with a cold bottle didn't get along with Partner's high pressure regulator?

I would guess against cold being the issue. I've used our stove in the winter with the small bottles with no problem. I would bet there was a problem with the threads on the bottle or it wasn't screwed on all the way.

Thanks you two. Now I am scratching my head. I also thought it might be from the altitude but that was only around 10,000ft. I will have to give it another try. Was disappointed that it didn't fire right up like it did with the larger tanks.

I've used ours with the small bottles above 10,000 ft. too without issue. Good luck- I hope it works for you. The small bottles are handy sometimes.

The propane hose that came with my 22" Partner stove isn't a "normal" propane hose.

It has a small spring loaded pin in the end of the hose that attaches to the stove, a pin that has to be depressed in order for the gas to flow.
Normally, screwing the hose to the stove depresses the pin. If I look at the stove inlet, I see a "dish" shape with an off-center hole in it. The pin pushes against the solid center of this dish, and opens up - allowing the propane to flow.
The pin in the hose can be prone to damage, as it sticks out past the protection of the actual threaded sleeve that attaches to the stove.

Do you have a similar Partner propane hose?
If you do, is your pin damaged?

I have no problem running my 22" Partner off a 1lb disposable bottle.

I will have to check the pin. Thanks for the idea. I will try to get to it this week. Still need to set the tent back up and clean it.

I had a similar problem when we first got our Partner - but we were in Tennessee, not at altitiude.

I replaced the tank adapter with a different brand - now it works fine. I don't remember the brand that did not work, and I will have to check on the brand that does work.

Late to the question here, but check the O rings. They degrade over time. I've had the core valve stick a little here and there, but the O rings degrade. Replacing mine this weekend before we head to VT.
