HAHA! Many people do love that avatar, would love to change it though...but I think to many people would be dissappointed. I get at least 2 PMs a month over there...

That being said, I do think that is the only board where it is appropriate. The mind set there is, well...umm...well it fits there. I don't think it would fit the audience here.

BTW, I started saving for a locker today. :)

BTW, I started saving for a locker today. :)

A friend was gonna go to Perth, and I had asked her to pick up the ARB locker (and compressor) for me. Regrettably ARB is out of stock. I'll have to wait till September for it to be brought over from the US.

Btw, they are slightly more expensive in Oz.

Nice truck peckerhead.

What locker are you saving for? I heard the ARB is out, are you going with that or the stocker?

Still coming to the PNW?

Resurrecting this thread out of no where!

So last Friday I get a phone at around 6am in the morning to let me know my KMA bumper is at the terminal.

Picked it up Monday and didn't install it until today. Why? The weather was too damn humid to paint..or it was raining.

But today was puuuurfect!

Our mascot for the day. :)

Few things:
  • Few spots had welding slag thrown about.
  • The left hole for the recessed light was a bit small, needed to dremel it out a bit.
  • The hole for the right recessed light is a little crooked.
  • There were no predrilled holes on the back side of the bumper to wire the lights.
  • The area where the license plate goes isn't deep enough.
  • The mounting holes were about 1/2" - 3/4" to high, causing a slight gap. Also, the mounting bracket is just a piece of angle iron -- the way the holes are, the bottom part of the bracket doesn't sit against the frame rails at all.

Overall, I'd give it a 5 out 10 on the craftsmanship scale. I may wollow out the mounting holes a bit this later next week so I can get it to line up right.

But I like it, it's beefy. Then end.

Old No. 7 there looks like two gallons!

Agreed on both counts. :)

That's actually an empty promo bottle the liquor rep dropped off at my work for me. She knows I love whiskey...and she's not to bad to look at.

I actually stared at your bumper, Mark, for a while to see if I really wanted to do it. I loved the write up you had. I considered getting the tire mount but really couldn't decide on it, obviously I didn't move on it. Kinda wish I had now.

The reverse LEDs aren't as bright as I thought they'd be, kind of a let down. I'm thinking I may move the bumper up to where it should be. I just need to figure out what part of to drill out -- the bumper or the frame?

And thanks Dave!

Looks great man.

My bumper looks like it could be moved up about 1/2 an inch also. Must be part of the design. You probably would be better off having the bracket reweld them on the bumper to move it up. Making the hole bigger could make the bumper move when using it as a recovery point.

Now the tag thing really erks me.

I don't know if it's part of the design as it is just bad hole drilling. The lower part of the "L" for the mounting bracket doesn't even touch the bottom of the frame.

And by looking at this pic:

you can see that it's pretty low. The arrow points to where the top of the OEM bumper used to be...after it met the tree.

My bodyshop guy said he'd get one of his guys to weld it on if I need to. Thoughts?

I doub't I'd ever need to take it off..............let me go find some wood to knock on.
