Are you going to have your new front bumper and skid plates for the Death Valley trip?

I hope so! I emailed them today to get a new ETA on them. I might have to pull what TACODOC did with his rear bumper before the last big DV trip, but I hope not. Just Keeping my fingers crossed.

In the mean time I have just been working on a lot of small stuff which I will post up soon enough.

Just got the email from Terry Baker at All Pro Off-Road

"They are in production again, hopefully more in later this week or early next"
That is all the email said.

So it is looking like I should get the bumper before the trip:elkgrin:, but who knows with things like this.

All-Pro sent me my new Steel extended brake lines which I should have installed tomorrow.

Also in the package was a Transfer Case Skid Plate.

I then threw a little paint on and it should be installed tomorrow.

Lastly, was the problem of trying to seal up the latch holes in the side compartment.

I took them out.

I put some double sided foam tape around the latch holes. Four layers on the bottom and three layers on top. Then just covered it all with duct tape to seal it up.

Hopefully this will hold up long enough to figure out a better solution.

Well now, that is just infuriating. I just got home and we realized someone got into the apartment :yikes:. They took some truck stuff that I was going to install and camping gear too. I am losing my freakin nerves. Let's see how long the police take to come. Last week, some homeless guy was sleeping in our laundry room and even pulled a gun. Did the police come... nope.

Frickin'' thieves :ar15:

You got meth heads in your area? I hear it's quite a problem up there. The most infuriating thing is knowing they turn your hard earned dollars over for at best ten cents on the dollar.

Yeah it is a problem, hence why everything is locked down on my truck. Where is this guy :pROFSheriffHL:when I need it.

Welcome to Nevadafornia
Sorry to hear man. Maybe it's time to tack some razor blades to the top of your cats.

Those will be next to go by the sound of it. :littlefriend:

Thanks for the concern guys. As of right now this is just a little hiccup compared to everything else. Let's get back to my rig since this is my build thread, tomorrow I will be back to getting my truck ready.

I will post up some more images tomorrow when I get my first skid plate installed and whatever else I get too.

That's a shame, Phil, I'm really sorry for your losses...

Hopefully you won't have any more problems and you can leave Oregon (and it's amphetamine/looting problems) behind you after the move.

I tried to get my steel brake lines installed today on break, but I started to run out of time so a co-worker helped me get them done quick.

Before that I threw my Transfer Case Skid Plate on. Really simple with the exception of one hole that did not line up right. So with a little widening I was good to go. I can't wait until I get the rest of my skids.
