Phoenix pop up truck campers

Another builder to consider is ATC (All Terrain Campers) in Sacramento. It’s a small shop that builds campers similar to older FWC models. They do custom work, and they’re generally less expensive than competitors.

Yeah, I am going to look into them next time I pass through that area. The only thing I don't like is that the exterior looks a bit dated, but I only hear good things about the quality, customer service and price point.

If I were searching for a replacement for my FWC in the Denver area, I would check out Supertramp campers too. They look really nice.

Yeah, thanks for mentioning Supertramp.
I can say from seeing them at PNW Expo this past July that the Supertramp look amazing. Since they are pretty new to the market, not sure how they will hold up long term but they are very well thought out. Also, will the company be around in 5 years once this flooded market starts to correct itself...
Also, while pretty well equipped, Starting at $60k for a slide-in is pretty insane to me! I guess these are the times we are in right now.
Odds are I'm going to be sticking to my RTT for a few more years while I wait and look to snatch up something used when people are selling off their gently used campers at reasonable prices.

They look may be dated, but the Campers are solid. The aluminum siding is also very easy to repair if you get a hole in it.

I bet there are owners in your area who would give you their opinions, and let you see the campers first hand.

After looking at most of the brands mention here, I'd categorize them similarly -
Well built products by people who care about doing a good job, but who are given the cheapest materials to work with (and we end up paying top dollar for).
At the Expo West last year I had a good look at Hallmark. They seemed a cut above regarding the materials, particularly the wall construction. I was impressed, with one exception - the same cheap cabinet door hinges. And they'll build anything from a shell to a full build and custom interiors within reason.

OEV, makes really really nice Pop up campers. They are not cheap though, and wont do custom stuff. I have spent some time in them.

My personal is an Outfitter.

I too liked the build quality of OEV. Just wished they would have done a little custom work.

We took delivery of our Phoenix in May of 2018. We have beenLittle_Juniper_Mt_Road.jpg pleased with the quality. I turned out almost exactly as we had hoped. The only problems we have had were pretty minor: an outside light failed almost immediately and the first time it rained the hinges on the rear tie-down access doors started to rust. Phoenix sent me a new light and stainless-steel hinges, no questions asked. I did have to install them myself, but not a big problem. The gas-struts that support the kitchen hatch (open in the attached photo) failed just after a year out of warranty. The replacements that I purchased from a third party have held up well. The only real complain I have would be that the electrical wiring is for the most part not accessible (contained inside the walls). This has not been a problem so far.. but it looks like it would be difficult to make repairs.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It looks like you have a nice setup, fingers crossed you will not need to address any wiring issues.
Thanks
