Photographers Challenge: Classic Kit

I should have added a description, but I was in a hurry to post the images.

The first is a 1970ish Orvis Battenkill 2-tip 5 weight fly rod. It was my dad's and now is mine. No fish but the lovely trout has ever bent this rod. The field bag is a classic British House of Hardy fishing bag.

The second photo is my Svea 123 stove. I bought this stove in the early 1970s along with a good quality goose down bag that I still use. I earned the money for the purchase by painting my grandmother's house. The bag was new, but the stove was refurbished because, at the time it was just too much money. The stove has worked great for decades. I use a Snow Peak and/or an MSR Reactor now for the convenience and speed, but if I wanted too, I could still cook a good back-country meal with the Svea.

David, I cracked up when I saw your shot of the Svea stove. I still have one too that I got back in the 70's. :sombrero:

It is kind of like your blog, there is a lot of information and then nothing for a long period. I guess life gets in the way.

Hey when I sit in front of a computer all day I need something to keep me busy. Never thought I would be able to stare at a blank google screen and wonder what to type in. Update your life so i can enjoy mine through you.

I tried to post last week but had some connectivity issues. Here we go. I am not really entering the contest, just wanted to share a pic for fun. Two cameras that I bought in different places (Moscow, Shanghai) that I still use on a regular basis, and the bellows-type Balda was my grandfathers, when he was a pro photographer in the Yukon in the 1950's.

All of them still produce great images.
