I've been looking for a replacement for some Whelen 900s on my Ambulance. I like the idea of a replacing the entire light, or the clear/red/amber lens with a flat plate with a cheaper LED light mounted in it. Or possibly an angled bracket. Some of the options from SuperbrightLED: -3.5"...

Abitibi won the prize for follow through! A lot of the lighting tech has changed, too. Seems like the thin LED bar and a block off plate might be easiest these days.

Another cheaper option is what I'm doing on my new ambo; simply add a small/thin light bar on each side...

Any pictures or links? I'm having trouble visualizing.

I found some Chinese LED replacements for roughly $50 USD each. Been weighing the option of that vs a DIY option.

Link? I did some searching on the googles and amazon but can't find anything that sounds like this.

Couldn’t find the thread I had details in. Been using these for about two years... work awesome. Far more even light than the original Halogen bulbs.
