Picked up a new project a couple months ago. 94 e150 high-top conversion van with a 351. Had the original window sticker in it, sticker price in 1994 was $36k! It's got a few hundred under 100k miles on it, and due to some serious neglect, I picked it up for $300
It was at this point we realized that the fiberglass running boards weren't going to fit between the trailer fenders:

Luckily the guy I bought it from had a cordless impact driver handy
17.5' of van with a 12' wheelbase on a 14+2 trailer:

Far too tongue heavy, but the Duramax towed it without any trouble
And a nice daylight picture once I got it home.

It hadn't been run in a couple years, and it's not been driven much over it's life. Virtually zero cosmetic rust, and the frame looks pretty solid. That said, all the brake lines are rusted, one of the cowl-to-hood seals had come loose and allowed water down into the engine bay. As a result the throttle body sticks, belt idler, alternator and smog pump are all seized.
With a good battery, it started right up, though. Burned off that belt immediately. Fuel filter is rusted through.
I've started on the brakes. Couldn't get the fittings or bleeders to come out of the wheel cylinders, so I replaced them. I was able to remove one return spring and sneak them out and back in without touching the rest of the shoe hardware. I got a roll of NiCopp brake line and a pack of stainless fittings so I can start making new lines.
Once it has brakes, I'll pull it into the garage and get under it to delete that smog pump. I'm just going to grab a cheap used alternator for now, and once I'm sure I've got the major things worked out, I'll get a 200a one.
I stumbled across part numbers for an OE dual battery tray.....all discontinued of course, but it's got me thinking.
Anyway, I've got a 10 month old daughter, wife and new mortgage on an old house, so progress will be slow. But hopefully I can put a TTB D50 under the front...
