Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Engine swap from a 7.3 to a Flintstone engine ;)

On my friend Jay's van. What a pain! But it's finally out and ready to figure why #5 rocker arm broke and bent the pushrod... Hydrolock?

I've broke two, 03 F250, babied all it's life 72k mi. with no obvious reason, I have two sets that look just like that, and it's gotten me waiting for the next one

Seems like a weak point on the 7.3...

In the mean time I got myself a cheap date ;)
She didn't mind the ride in the ambo!

Always dirty

I like that "Always Dirty" as we had a great dinner out in our own back yard this great fall evening our van is waiting for the last trip of the year still covered in Mississippi mud from early September and the wife tells me I should wash her. dirty is always a good thing!

Utah

Bailed out to Utah for 10 days. So fun.

First night, the 15 turned into a parking lot because of an accident so I called it an evening and bailed into the hills. Popped the top on the van and the Maker's.

Next day, cruised about 80 miles off road, linking Mesquite to St. George on some gorgeous tracks. Did some really nice riding in St. George.

Then up to Gooseberry. Met and rode with some seriously cool folks.

Dinnertime on Gooseberry.jpg

Broke a rear shackle up on Gooseberry and drove it a 100 miles like this trying to get close to a Ford dealer. I winced on every bump. (Thanks to Chris @ UJOR for pointing out what I was too blind to notice)

Super glad that happened because I found this awesome spot to hole up for the night waiting for the part to come in to a local dealer.
Dinner on the River.jpg

Limped to the dealer the next day and they had the shaclke on in no time. Then off to Moab for riding mayhem with buddies. Like an idiot I took no pix of the van out there.

What caused that shackle to break? I was really surprised to see it broken like that.

Yeah you and me both. Not sure. I was rolling over relatively smooth terrain when it happened and although I wheeled all day before through some bumpy stuff, I take it way easy; super slow. The break didn't show signs of earlier stress. The whole break was shiny and new.
