My bike started out as a brand new 1996 Yamaha Super Tenere. Was my daily driver and I new that bike in and out. The first trip was to Tunesia.
After 3 years 100.000km on the clock and many adventures around Europe I made some modifications for a 6 month trip across Africa. The bike ended up looking like this: (including my handmade 60 liter Kevlar fuel tank)
Dragged it from Germany 9000km all the way down the west coast of Africa.
Had a "minor" electrical issue in the Sahara that took two months to figure out...
Got a ride on a truck to Dakar/Senegal
Made it work:
Booked a flight back to Germany (with the bike) where I ended up selling it....
