If I find any I will let you know....after I pick it over first, teehee. I think a boneyard in Centralia has one. This website has a good search engine: http://www.car-part.com/ I've actually had pretty good luck getting used parts from the classifeds on MUD.

Thanks, I'll check out the link. Would you be willing to let a canuck or two [triad members only:) ], use your address for a ship to? Some guys won't ship across the line...

I can't believe you drove right past me and didn't wave!:sombrero: We went over to Kelowna on friday and came back on sunday. Brought back our off road tent trailer:elkgrin:

HAHA I had my eye's open for a silver LX as I passed. How did the LX do pulling the trailer?

I use Mail Boxes international, had no problems shipping there and it only cost $2.50 per package. 90% of the parts I got for my LX rebuild this winter were done through MBI.

How did the LX do pulling the trailer?

I wouldn't call it stellar... I towed my 31' Airstream from Victoria to Whistler without too much trouble. I wouldn't want to go much further with that set up. With the tent trailer it was better on the flats, ie no problem, but up the Duffy from Lilloett it really worked. I don't mind the slow pace, but I don't want to kill my motor. If I had the cash it would be at Slee right now getting a 4.7 transplant. I will keep the lotto corp on speed-dial!

How hot did it get towing up the duffy? going the other way up the duffy not towing but with a totally new cooling system I stayed nice and cool.

Tried to get up the hurly but the excavator clearing the road had broken down and the pass was not open yet.....nice 60km one way side track lol.

Going east, without the trailer it stayed at the halfway mark, which I hear means nothing. With the trailer it went just past half. That is the first and only time it has climbed past halfway on the gauge ever. I'm thinking that meant it got a little warm. I want to get a Ultragauge to monitor things, but I am not sure if they give an accurate temp. I think it just pulls info from the ecu, and that would rely on the factory gauge which is inaccurate, apparently.

I did the phh bypass just before the trip, and I think it was a success as there were no leak or blow out issues. I still fail to see how all the guys on mud replace the phh and then have it leak right away. It is only a heater hose!

I talked to Sheldon from G&S for a while today, and he has a factory airbox for me. That is a good thing as I plan to hit the dirt as often as possible this year. If anyone wants a K&N, let me know... Damn, no "gun to the head" emoticon!

I had a plugged rad on mine that I found using a scanguage, saved my engine as far as I'm concerned. The Scanguage reads the ECU coolant temp sensor and that is a an accurate guage. The stock dash gauge does not move at all till 225f coolant temp, by the time the coolant temp reaches 230f its at the 3/4 mark. I had shut my truck down by then though and let it cool.

New rad worked wonders as well as a refill on my fan clutch with 10k cst fluid. Hottest it got on the Duffy last weekend giving it was 193f.

Getting a Scanguage II or a ultra gauge is a worthy investment.

The latest update is... My 450 is now "flareless". I started to take them off to prep for paint, but unfortunately quite a few of the mounting points were not surviving the removal despite me taking my time and using great care. After the downward spiral continued for a while I got to the breaking point. Literally! I just said screw it and started pulling them off. The end result is a lot of holes, but they will get filled. I am sad that I couldn't save the flares and panels, but the amount of crud that was built up behind them has me kinda happy they are gone. I am going to paint the truck white and have found a source for white bedliner to do the bottom areas for stone chip and salt resistance. Hope to have it all done in the next few weeks.

I also ditched the port installed roof rack. That is one thing I am happy to see gone!

WOW having just done this to mine I know how many holes there and how much of a ***** those damn clips are. I ended up putting mine back on as I was not ready to fill all those bloody holes (60+ per side).

Mine was optioned with out the roof rack or rear deflector. My new tail gate came with the deflector :(. Glad I do not have that roof rack tho!

I might have to go buy a "portable garage" from cambodian tire in order to paint if the friggen rain doesn't stop! I got all the goop and snake oils today to fill the holes. Got my paint sorted too. I have a bunch of big contracts starting soon so I gotta pound this out. Don't want to drive too long with it as is. Looks rather ghetto-fab!

Well, it is mostly done now. The flares are gone, holes welded, peeling clear-coat sanded off, rack and spoiler removed and filled. I am happy it is not gold and peeling anymore, but I wish I had the $$$$ to do a proper paint job. The 450 was never going to win any beauty contests before, and now it is good from about 15 feet... or a couple of  later. The plus side is, there was no rust under the cladding, and the body is still nice and straight. Maybe some day I will pay the few thousand to get it done professionally. Pics of the process below...

Love it! I have longed to turn my black LX into a white one as well. My first 80 was a white 93 and I really miss that color. I am looking forward to seeing the results of the WHITE bed liner as I have my eye on that as well. Keep up the great work!

I too love the white! I ended up going with a paintable rubberized gravel gaurd instead of the white bedliner. The white liner said "will cure to a yellow-white". I definitely don't want "yellow white" on MY 80.
