Nice

Your trailer is right up my alley. I saw your post awhile ago and really liked the trailer style. The color is awesome! Great looking rig!:Wow1:

Got the right side door hung. Used garage door weather stripping to waterproof the hinge (uv resistant). It looks really good. The other door has the hinge mounted but I ran out of time this weekend to hang it... Will post some pictures tonight.

I had to travel out of town for two weeks. Will get pictures when I get back...
Right before I left I remounted the two gull wing doors and put the body back on the frame. Didnt get a chance to take pictures yet but will get them when I get back.

Alright just got home after being in CT for a couple weeks. Snapped some pictures...

Here is the side view. Haven't installed the fenders yet.

All new hardware on the rear barn door.

I used the hard plastic (not soft) garage gasket for the top seal.

Might have gone a little too wide with the axle... but it will work, electric brakes and all.

The interior is carpeted but still need to install the cabinets and what not.

Looks great!

I have the same trailer and am struggling right now. How thick were the replacement shims between the enclosure and frame? The ones I pulled out look a little thick.

Also, trying to decide how to remove the doors. Did you grind off the heads, snap off the bottoms? When putting the doors back on, did you just go with rubber like before or did you weld latches in place?

I think I'm going to start a new thread for my build.

I think the shims were right at a 1/2 inch exactly. Not a typical size that is made but I found mine in Lowes in the hardwood/cabinetry section. One of my screws did not sink all the way and created a hassle when remounting. I had to relift the body and use a different screw. So be careful of that.

Removal of doors: Rear-I ground down the weld on the top of the hinge and used a screw driver and some nails (ground down the heads) to pound the hinge pin out. Sides-drilled out the tops and used a punch and awl to push out the back side. If it wouldnt come out, I drilled all the way through.

I did not weld any hinges. I saw someone else do it and it looked sloppy to me. I mocked up the door, hinge, gasket and strip and held in place with a long screwdriver on each end. then started riveting out from the middle.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I have been out of town. Good luck with the build and the doors... they are a lot of work.
