Pizza Cutter question...

I am currently running the 10 ply Hancooks in the stock size, I do have some weird noises/vibrations as have been referenced by others before.
My truck is a 07 Regular cab. I currently have a OME kit in the garage and plan on going with a tall/skinny once I have time to install my lift.

When it comes to searching I tried Google Image search for Tacoma 235 85 16 and you get more pictures...
If you have lift you need to probably think more about the 255/85/R16... Not the 235...

Bigger is better! But you'll run low on power and gearing pretty quick. It's a question of needs vs wants. I like the skinny/tall toyo 255/85 on mine but I will say that sand performance suffered noticeably while mud performance increased a bit. Fuel mileage remained same and steering suspension became much worse with the change, so there are many factors at play.

Does the '97 have 15" wheels? Pizza cutter sizes aren't readily available for 15s. Most 15" sizes have more typical proportions, except the 33x10.50, the old 33x9.50 and 34x9.50 TSLs, but those are getting pretty tall. My favorite 15" sizes to drive on are 30x9.50 and LT235/75R15, although they're not pizza cutters.
If you want to switch to 16" wheels, I would use either a 215/85R16 or 235/85R16.

Do you have 3+ inches of lift? If so a 34x10.5R17 would be similar to the 255/85R16 so many people use as a large pizza cutter on 16" wheels. It is a 33.5" tire though so you will need 3" of lift minimum and may need to check for a little bit of trimming in places. Probably necessitates after market UCAs to get decent alignment as well.
For less than 3 inches of lift there is the 235/80R17 or the 245/75R17 which will be roughly equivalent in aspect to the 235/85R16 which is a common 16" wheel pizza cutter for stock suspension height.
Be aware the 17" rims on the sport are 7.5" wide while the 16" rims on the OR are 7" wide. All of the above tires fit on the 7.5" wide rim but are right at the edge of the acceptable rim width. You'll be showing just a bit more rim with a pizza cutter installed compared to the 16x7 wheels.
