After reading quite a few reviews, the Big Larry looks like a good cordless option. I will be buying one to see what I think about it, but I would still like to have a corded light as well. Building my own light may be what I end up doing.

I've been very happy with the Big and Little Larry lights. The Little Larry has a magnet on the pocket clip allowing for some nice hands free options affixing to metal surfaces. The Big Larry's magnet is on its base so it can stick up and in the way, such as when working on undercarriage stuff.

I will be making my own corded version and will try to post up results of the effort here.

Go to Lowes/Home depot. Utilitech pro was the brand but whatever they have. 10w/700lumen, runs on 120v or 12v.
