Pop top buttons removable?

I have a 1999 Dodge that is a home build but had a pop top installed by SMB Indiana. I am looking to re-do my headliner but it is locked in place by some of the pop top "buttons". I know I "can" take them off but I want them to go back up. How are they fastened?

Pry it off. It's just a cap over a screw head.

Anybody know where to get additional screws with these snap on button heads on them?

It’s not a special screw. You simply install the screw through the middle of the snap much like you put a washer on a bolt.

There’s a hole in it.
