I am planning to fit a pop up roof on my Defender 110 and have done quite a bit of research looking for ideas, quotes, manufacturers, etc
Here are some of the interesting links that I would like to share with you all and if have a new link of a manufacturer or a expedition Defender touring, please post the link.
Cheers

Ummm Have you tried Dormobile Ltd.??

They have recently changed management and are getting things reorganized but they are there and can get you a complete lifting roof assembly built onto a 110 roof top & interior goodies.

Thank you, every time that I Google it only the page for owners come to the screen.

I would need to look wich components I need to the the roof conversion only.
The cap cost only £349.00 let see the rest plus freight
I can do the fiting out without problems

Here are charging $ 8500 Australian dollars for supply and fit the roof and bed only.

TeriAnn, can you tell me how big it is the bed?
I have to do more search about interior images to see the bed on the new models.

Ok, I found some interir images of new Defenders/Dormobile on the dealer in Japan.

Looks like that 2 children can sleep on the banks and there is room for sleep 2 down bellow.

Seems good value at £799. Mind you, I think it need to be colour coded to stop it standing out.

Although it's not clear if it's a roof tent or access can be gained from inside like the other conversions....

THe Rovers are neat too. So have you gotten any closer to making a descision??? Oh and why do you think they're ALL (or most of them) made in Germany???

I sent emails asking for quotes to send the kit to Australia.
Dormobile will reply on or after the 7/9 because the manager is away.
Safary did not responded so far.
If they are to expensive or they do not are interested in exporting to Oz then I will look into to do the conversion myself.
I have to see how hard it is to get the design approved if I do the job.
Cheers
