To Infinity and Beyond!
I am interested in a movable (move from truck to truck) solar system. NOT a permanent install in anything. Not wanting a Jackery or a small power system. I'm talking 400-600 amp/hour system.
Let me start by saying my name is Sgt Shultz. "I know nothing, I see nothing" when it comes to a solar system.
What I would desire if possible is a GOOD movable (not necessarily portable) solar system that is "packaged or modular" as such that I could move it from the back of a pickup truck to a van when needed depending upon the type of trip I am taking or whatever trailer I am pulling that needs good renewable power. This system could be in 3 separate packages if needed.
I envision this "system" would include GOOD solar panels that are easily stackable for safe travel and easily connected, in the second package a solar system wiring/inverter setup and whatever else is needed to make it operate in a movable package with a power cord that could be extended from the wiring/inverter package in the back of the truck/van to my Avion trailer, a rooftop tent, my GMC motorhome or a overland trailer to plug into whatever I am using with all the electric using appliances located in a tent, motorhome, trailer etc. For the third package I would need a modular battery pack built in sections for lighter weight when moving the battery pack from vehicle to vehicle that can be easily hooked back up together.
As I see it these 3 packages will not be storage space friendly however that's what the back of the truck, van or other vehicle is for leaving all this extra weight, wiring and batteries out of the trailers, tents, motorhome etc. My vision is a "Modular" type of high output system that could power A/C and other stuff while traveling/camping/overlanding and NOT have this expensive system mounted in any one particular trailer or vehicle.
Flames are encouraged in telling me what a idiot I may be OR suggestions/ideas if this is feasible, sensible or just a pipe dream!
