The TJ never had a Diesel engine as factory option, even in Europe. As I know this car and the owner very well, I can say that it´s the standard 4 Liter 6-banger gas engine, no Diesel.

Wranglers have diesels in Europe. I beleive same as other Jeeps. I saw them in Italy and France.

CJ and JK Wranglers do exist with a Diesel engine as factory option (even XJs had this option), but to our big regret the TJ Wrangler has never been offered with a Diesel engine here, so what you have seen must have been individual engine conversions (which are very common in Italy and France).

I'll try to grab some photos tonight but it's basically the same as my solar panel mount, using 80/20 linear bearings it slides up and down about 20" when you need it to.

The Jeep isn't as good a tow vehicle as the Power Wagon but it's much more fun to drive.
3.73s, 33s, and the manual trans on the Pentastar work better than my old JK with 4.56s, 33s, 3.8L, and autotrans.

Here's my humble rig:
2001 Montero with a trailer my dad built in 1980 on the front axle of an Opel. Packing up now for a trip to Colorado.
