Keith, now that's just not fair...:gunt:

:) Nobody ever said life was fair..
It was great to get the beastie out of the driveway. Still lots to sort out but all in all I was very happy with its performance.

Still need:
Tune suspension
Sliders
Rear corner protection
extra fuel
Extra water
Water filtration (both truck and trailer)
Figure out why an 8500 pound rig starts to overheat on a 2 mile 7% uphill grade( Guess I better get my EGT gauge working!)

And of course tons of other stuff...

up a long grade.....reminds me of the little engine that could.
I think I can, I think I can.

What are you going to do to your suspension ? Thought you were loving the RTE fronts with the 755's in the rear ?

It's a push isn't it? The little engine that could LOL I like that! Not that I'm interested in blasting up the mountain but I do want to prevent engine damage. EGT, Better intercoolerlittle mister for the rad. Might all work.

The Front SG copies are nice perhaps a little stiff as compared to the Med OME's in the rear, but they seem to be getting better with each mile. When I finish the Air Suspension that should help that. If you wanted simplicity, run these SG copies with the HD OME's in the rear and you have it bagged. The remaining suspension is just shock mounts and bump stops. My rears are still a bit too short and the fronts are "iffy" I think they could be a little longer too. The shocks are 12" Fox emulsion and they have been terrific. Performance is great! I just want more up travel.

I'd hate to make a guess at the rate but I figure the RTE SG copies are sitting at about 280-300# as compared to RR4 at 225#or the 220# of the 764.
It feels good unloaded (RTE SG's and 755's), it feels a little wallowy (?) in the rear with a load, probably 600 total pounds behind the front seat Window level or below and a 200-300# trailer tongue weight. The tent is 100# and plants most it's weight on the bulkhead the rack probably goes 200#.
All told (in a loaded up for travel situation) if the RTE springs where an inch shorter or a few pounds lighter in rate it would be a better match for the 755's, right now they are a great match for the 754's.

Keep in mind that for the most part my truck is in an unloaded state while doing it's DD duties.
Additional fuel and water tanks will again change this whole setup some but for the most part it is progressing as I had expected.

I have the 755's in the rear and they are ok but need something stiffer in the front than the 764's. Wondering if the spring rate is higher on The RTE's.

Here are a couple pix of my 110. Had it about a year and a half now. It is in dire need of a paint job (sometime this summer) but other then that it is a great truck. Was running on a 2.5 NA diesel but a couple months ago we stuffed a 300Tdi into it. Much better now. It has pretty much displace my Series 3 as my daily driver. I suppose I should get some more seasonal pix, but these will have to do for now.

Yep, TeriAnn has it right. They are factory. Used at Victoria falls by the tour & rafting companies. Some more pics, these taken at Chobe River Safari Lodge just outside Kasane.

cheers

We've owned our 110 nearly two years now. Sans tent, rack, jack, etc., it's a daily driver, too!

Nope, a different pack playing on the playa.... (June 2008; Alvord Desert, SE Oregon)

(Note, none of these photos were teken by me - if they had been, they'd be out of focus and poorly framed. Fortunately, we had excellent photographers in the group!)
