We head up to Devils Den 3 times (sometimes 4) a year. We will camp there 1 or 2 nights before heading futher up to Cassville to visit Roaring River State Park and the Mark Twain NF. There's a cool road running out the back side of RRSP up to Cassville.

We just went back to Devil's Den this past Saturday (Feb 18)! Here's some pics from that trip:

Let me know when you head back this direction! Especially when you hit the Mark Twain trails. I've only been once, and I have a hard time finding anybody around here willing to show me around. I'm only 45 minutes from the Mark Twain National Forest, too!

We may head back around March, not sure yet. We talked about it last night and came up with a plan to head more East of Oklahoma and South. We will be going back to Roaring River State park and the Mark Twain NF this year, just not sure when yet. I'll look you up for sure!

If you find your way to Roaring River State Park, drive all the way back towards the hatchery. There's a small road that's in front of it (West) that leads to cabins 1,2, and 3. Drive past the cabins and you'll find a gravel road worth venturing for a quick trip. There's all kinds of trails and good climbs in that area! If you follow the road it'll take you back to the town of Cassville. Let me know if you make it!

Didn't know anyone from around here was on this website. I use to go to Mark Twain all the time. I tried to go down there probably six months ago and every trail was shut down. I spend a lot of KRRP in Ft. Scott but it is a dedicated off road park.
