Comptiger, we definitely need to see some more pictures (and get details) on that clean ZJ :)

Being my DD, it sadly doesn't see enough time off the pavement. But it's a lot less stock than it looks and I've been shooting for a pretty much all-around useful build that's reasonable off-road and well behaved on the road. Here's a quick rundown on it:

Drivetrain:
  • LP D30 front (open), D44a rear (posi), 3.73 gears
  • Chrysler 46RE transmission, modified valve body
  • NV242 t-case

Engine:
  • 5.9 Magnum
  • Enginequest 2.02 heads
  • Comp 20-744-9 cam
  • Doug Thorley headers
  • 3 inch exhaust (going to 3.5" at some point soon)
  • Hughes Airgap intake manifold
  • 2bbl 52mm throttle body (have a big 4bbl waiting to go on when I get around to figuring out the throttle cable brackets for it)

Lighting:
  • Crown e-code housings with 55/100 bulbs
  • 2x 130w cheap-o pencil beams (will upgrade at some point)
  • 2x IPF 968 driving beams (100w)
  • 85w IPF 840 fogs
  • 2x 55w aux reverse lights under rear bumper

Suspension:
  • Custom cut-up springs, around 280 lb/in front, 260 lb/in rear (stock is 190 / 160), rides about a 1/2" taller than stock (just below the factory upcountry package height)
  • Bilstein 7100 10" short body shocks (yes, can just barely be made to fit at that ride height), 400/100 valving front, 360/80 rear (could use some minor adjustments)
  • Offset upper ball joints for added negative camber on front axle (about 0.8* per side compared to 0.3* stock)
  • Addco 29mm front sway bar with JKS quick disconnects (stock bar is 26mm)

Other accessories:
  • 1500W hard-wired power inverter
  • CB radio with PA speaker (hidden in front bumper near driver's side fog light)
  • XJ style high idle / extended idle switch
  • Tekonsha Prodigy P3 trailer brake controller

Pending upgrades:
  • Gas tank skid (sitting in my basement, I'm just lazy)
  • Engine / trans skid
  • T-case skid
  • Sliders
  • Metalcloak control arms

Wheels / tires:
  • Summer street use (the set in the picture): 17x8 +10 Moab replicas, 255/60R17 General Grabber UHP tires
  • Winter: 16x7 +13 Jeep Ultrastars (stock 5.9 wheels), 235/70R16 Nokian Hakka R2 snow tires
  • Off-road use: 16x7 +13 Jeep Ultrastars, 255/65R16 Toyo A/T (going to be swapping these for either 235/85R16 or 215/85R16 M/Ts, depending on whether I can jam the 32s under it or not)

heres mine, 2007 JKU on 285/70 17 Mud Terrains.... ill install a 2.5" lift in a couple of weeks, and then the interior mods will begin, as its designed more for camping and fishing than for wheeling....
