Finally got to hit the trails with the JK at Big Creek Rock in NC.

It performed flawlessly! I was worried that the Outback springs would be too stiff. They were perfect. Never bottomed out but I still got full travel of the suspension when needed. I couldn't be happier.

Even got to give the Warn 8274 some use to free up a high sided rig that was about to go over the other side. Awesome day altogether.

Sold my 2011 back in September to free up some cash for a urgent need. Starting over now with a 2013 I just picked up. I'm really liking the 3.6 over the 3.8. The jury is still out on going automatic over manual. Gonna have to take it out a few times as see.

This has crossed my mind too. This 3.8 works...but its a turd.

Are gray hard tops unique to 2005? I have a '04 LJ with a gray top but it was installed by a previous owner. Mine did not come with a hard top when it was purchased new.

To my knowledge grey tops and fenders were exclusive to 2005 models. Maybe I'm wrong. Some see it as an abomination, others don't mind it, I love it. Plus the fenders don't fade like the black ones

I don't mind the gray hard tops and think they look great on some Jeeps. In my case though I have soft and hard half door uppers that are black. I run my LJ with full doors in the winter but for the short time that I do run it with half doors and the hard top it doesn't look right. I plan to paint my gray top black when the weather warms up. I have the wider Rubicon flares on it and they are black too.
