seems that there is a lot of 2024 3.6's having issues with faulty O2 sensors. mine included. theory was it was bad O2 sensors but o2 sensor supplier claims same O2 sensors are used on many different vehicles and they are not having the same issue so they claim it is the software jeep is using on the 3.6's that is overheating them and causing them to fail. My 24 3.6 was down for 45 days and had all O2 sensors replaced (some of the 2X) and the ecm replaced. there is a long thread on the jlwrangler frorums regarding this issue. seems most are affected early ie 2000 miles or so. mIne was around 7000 miles. Only good thing about it was jeep cares gave me a free $0 deductible maxcare warranty for my troubles.

Wow, 45 days is ridiculous. I've seen that thread but so far mine hasn't had that issue (fingers crossed at 5k miles). Mine is blessed with the slight hesitation issue common to the 2024 Pentastar. Latest thinking on JLforum is faulty knock sensors. Not bad enough to really bother me, but I know it's there. I bought a maxcare warranty too lol.

I loved my 100. I got in line for a new LC 250, but I'm just not a fan of 4 cylinder turbos and the hybrid adds another layer of complexity I was looking to avoid. Not to mention all the dealers around me were adding stupid ADM so it was going to be $70K+ for the mid tier edition - no thx.

The Jeep checks a lot of boxes. Sure, it doesn't have the quality of my LC, but my 100 was $63K new in 2003! I like driving a manual transmission again. The SOT is the lazy man's convertible and I use it far more than expected. The wireless apple carplay is excellent. Having 33's from the factory where nothing rubs is awesome. 3.6L NA V6 with port injection - about as simple as they come. Rear locker and tow package comes standard on the Willys. 13 mpg with the LC, 19 mpg with the Willys. Don't know if I'll keep it for 10 years, but I'm having a blast with it so far.

I almost went SOT, but got a premium soft top instead. Cheap side of me won out.
It is nice to have 33/35’s fit without any mods or much hassle. I had to do a bunch of trimming and body mount chop on my old GX for the same 33” tires.
And that 4:1 xfer case. Heaven-sent for crawling for us manual drivers.

I originally had ordered the HT with Sunrider and was going to splurge on the XR with 35's. Then I realized you can't get the XR with 6MT. Bummer, so I rerouted those funds to the SOT and I'm really glad I did. While I love the look of the XR, realistically my use case is 99% on road, 1% off road.

Years ago, I built up a 1978 CJ5 into a relative capable and simple rock crawler. AMC 304v8, Ford T18 4 speed, twin sticked D300 T-case, front Chevy D44hd, rear Chevy 14 Bolt, spooled w/ disc brakes, running 4.56 gears & HMMWV dual bead locks. Suspension was leaves on all 4 corners, rears were flipped F150s and front were unknown. I wheeled it until the rust won, and then parted it out.

The bulk of it was sold to an individual who apparently stuffed it in a barn and left it sitting there for the last 14 years collecting dust and cob webs. Apparently he decided it was time to try to sell it again...

What a shame nothing was done with it...

I picked this up last November after selling my YJ a year prior. It's been a joy to run around in, and fits my family. My wife loves it, which helps.

Living in IA, gravel roads and Jeep club adventures is as good as it gets, unless I leave the state.

more un-necessary parts.....found a screaming deal on a set of used KC slimlites, they are bright and light up the road for a long way down the road...the steering stabilizer was a whim purchase and added zero to on road driving...my jeep tracks straight and has one finger steering at 75mph I should have kept the cash on that purchase..just empty every pocket comes to mind..hopefully won't rip it off in Moab in a couple weeks..oh and got tired of popping the hood when airing up...
