Lol...I'm sure you know a Defender is not a Series, correct?

Nah I couldn't tell until I got inside and had a coffee!

In fact I was given a 1982 Series III ex-UAE Army pick-up. Its not on my sig line because its not yet running. But soon ... Here it is

Series 3.JPG

When its done it will look just like this Abu Dhabi Police Series, Arabic markings and all (which say POLICE 44) .... sweet, now if I can just get it home to NYC.

The owner took about 4 hours to get it re-started - I was amazed he didn't hydraulic it. I'll post up some more pictures of how deep he went...

Went up with a group this weekend to run the Sherman Pass Jeep Trail up near Monache Meadows. Stopped for a little bit to check out this old miners cabin and the area around it:

This was a fun three days in the mud of Tillamook State Forest near Brown's Camp. Bill Burke is a great guy and I highly recommend spending time with him if you get a chance.

Here a a couple of fun short video's as well:

Neat videos. You might want to consider keeping your thumbs on the outside of the steering wheel when driving off road. That is an easy way to break your thumbs.

Went and ran lockwood / miller jeep trail this sunday morning. Not another soul on the trail save for a lone guy on a quad.

Cream Puff 85K mile Texas Classic. Air suspension intact, although leaks. Very original. Been out driving it and I think it might be worth investing in new airbags. The ride is very sweet.
