This week I went from being a 1 Rover owner to a 3 Rover owner.
Monday I picked up the white D1. it's basically good for a trail rig or parts donor. Good running 4.0 powertrain and of course the LT230 and 24 spline axles.
I had figured to use those as parts for an eventual RRC purchase, but today I ended up bringing home an '88 RRC that has a later model 4.2 already swapped in. And being an '88, it already has the LT230. It's still on it's 10 splines, but part of the (literally) truck-load of spares and extras was later model swivel balls and axles. Not that the axles will be used as the plan is turn it into a serious trail rig to go where the LR3 can't, so all new axles and lockers will be going in anyway. But that's still a long way off as I have plenty to do before I launch the project in earnest. For now, it'll stay the way it is.
