It's a '96 D1. Mods are extensive of course but the basics are a 4.6, 5" RTE lift with a few custom touches, 1" body lift so minimal fender cutting for the 35x12.50 MTR-Ks, re-geared transfer case, custom hi-steer with PSC assist, Detroit rear and ARB front, and of course the top went away.
With the current gearing it could easily pull 37s but I'll have to do some trimming for that. Plenty of tread currently so not a high priority but when it comes tire time I'll probably go to 37s on 17s.
It's great fun in the rocks and for local jaunts but it's crazy loud on the highway listening to the tires sing. The wife wears her shooting ear protection when riding in if.
I have to admit I didn't build it though, I picked it up in Vegas from a LRLV tech a couple weeks ago. Some of you may he seen it around. It even got a little press in 4-wheeler mag back before it went roadster. I was accumulating parts for an RRC build when this came up so I took the shortcut.
Now I'm just waiting for the snow to clear on the Rubicon. This year is going to be much easier than last with the LR3.
