Howdy yall! Charles here. Bought a very used 2001 Montero Sport (XS?) about 2 months ago. Ill have pics when i can borrow a phone with a proper rear facimg camera. Its got transmission and engine sensor problems but other than that its fine. Got it for under 300 dollars in total so cant complain.

I use it as a daily right now seeing as its the only form of transportation i have. But id like to completely overhaul it eventually.

Its missing its front grill and is quite smooshed but the cooling fan and radiator are fine as well. Feature wise, ive got working ac, power widows, power locks-ish, and cruuse control. My brake lights are picky as to when they work and ive checked the fused (nothing wrong there). My e brake light is always on although my e brake isnt engaged.

I can discuss plans later, just wanted to intrduce myself and hilde (the monteros name). Also where do i post stuff for question about my sport and stuff about what i want to do to hilde?

You can post pretty much in the Mitsubishi section about your sport. Good luck!

Drove about 80 miles of trails in Johnson Valley OHV. Still have stock wheels with worn down Yokohama Geolandar HTs 265/70R16. Horrible offroad tires but I aired down to 20 pounds and off I went...

Had a great time and kids had fun. Love this truck.

Bok!

Where is this? Your plates suggest you're from Zagreb (and you have the pre-EU plates, too) but that's not near the Adriatic. I spent quite a bit of time in Dalmatia and Istria and was never able to see the islands so close. It looks amazing, I should drop you a line if I'm ever in the area and offer you rakia because that spot looks amazing.

That view + pasticada + wine = stuff dreams are made of

Details on the LPG? I know lots of Italian cars had it as option, but not even the Germans want to deal with LPG as they dominate the diesel market in Europe.

Hi! Yeah, i am from Zagreb and this place is on adriatic.. Middle of the "pelješac peninsula" near Dubrovnik..

Details on LPG? Conversion cost aprox 1000$ ,
Pros: Petrol vs gas cost 3/1 , fuel range (almost double), environmentally friendly, and no more emissions control! :ylsmoke:
Cons: Huge gas tank in trunk, more electronics to upset you..

And of course, rakia, pasticada and vino wait for you!!! It will be my pleasure to show you my country!

Cheers!

Hi all,
As I was looking for a way to lift our Montero I ran into this nice site.
We are driving our Montero in the Altai region (KRai and Republic) in Siberia, Russia.
Hosting some trips in the summer, we drive a lot off road.
