Yeah, dude, its so sad how bad the coverage is after all these years if you don't live in Europe or now in S. America. (Or in my case cut the cord back in 2002.)

Its cool to see how the ECO race has embraced Social Media and upload services like Youtube to broadcast, instead of having to rely on the archaic notion of Televised exclusive contracts, but... that's what you get when you're not the target demographic.

PM me if you want more links of ongoing Dakar footage, I would post directly but I don't know how admins react to that.

Not sure what Stage you're on, and if you've been following daily, but maybe you remember my post about the Pajeros/Monteros that ran last year. Christina's Gen 4 SWB is back in this year for her 2nd running after having been the first female Spaniard to complete the Dakar in a car, and had a rather nasty roll in the dunes; but, as we all know the King of Dakar's DNA was built for this event and it carried on.

Here she is with her rig days before Stage 1:

Wishing her the best and hope to see her finish this year even better than last year!

Out for a light stroll after replacing all shocks, ball joints, and tie rods. And my brother test driving his recent purchase 1999 Trooper.

Just picked this up: 1992 Pajero with the 2.5TD (4D56) and 5MT. Currently on some ancient 31x10.50 BFGs, but will be going up to a 33 soon.

Had to go and test my new to me rear locker this past weekend. Amazing what a difference it makes.

Good looking pic! Can't wait to get mine on the road! Glad to hear the rear locker works well as I'm about to install that this next month. Say, what tire size?
