We don't have Yeti type products over here so I had to build one.

Thanks. Didn't add solar nor AC inverter since I don't need them. It is possible to add of course.

.
Why keep that tray in it? Only seems like it's in the way.

Nice :)

I just bought a marine battery box and added a couple of extra things like the ctek panel mount plug, Anderson plug, 50A breakers and the large isolator switch as well as a 105AH deep cycle battery. I can never understand why people would pay upwards of $400 (I see the the YETI GoalZero 1250 is $1599 for 100AH!!!) for a box that holds a battery ;)

Mine takes solar through the Anderson plug (or direct charging from the Jeep through the same plug if on the move as it lives in my trailer) as my regulators are at the solar panels (folding, two panels one 80W another 160W) or 240V (I'm in Australia) from the CTEK through the CTEK panel mount kit.

I also have a 600W pure sinewave inverter but don't use it much it's also wired to an Anderson plug, my trailer has two Anderson plugs going to the battery either can be in or out dependent on what I need hooked up at the time.

Total was around (and these are AUD prices so more than USD) $380 AUD for the Battery, Battery Box and CTEK charger. Over here an empty ARKPAK is around $450 and add at least $200 for a 100AH battery, also that comes with a next to useless 150W inverter, my 600W one has run my 240v drill :)

Setup with the 80W panel topping off the battery.

Since this thread is international, the plus side of a D.I.Y Goal Zero 400 or a Thumper is that the factory service center is right at your door step, should you need it.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that more than a few Goal Zero 400 units have become bricks - because the user was unable to easily repair a fault.
