Predicament...what to do?

I've been viewing this forum for roughly a month. In that time I have soaked in much information concerning the Toyota and Jeep. Being a former chevy owner, and not well acquainted with Toyota, I am faced with a challenging decision. 2 months ago I inherited my father's 05 Access Cab, which was, unexpected. It was in my original plan to modify my fathers truck slightly to make it more off-road capable while keeping it streetable and low key. However, my brother-in-law offered me a trade for the truck for his '03 Toyota single cab AND my nephew offered a me a trade for his 2000 XJ. My fathers truck has 41,000 miles on it. My bros truck has 139,672 miles and my nephew has close to 200,000 on his.

I need your opinions. Do I keep the '05 or do a trade? What would you do?

Keep it! Neither of those trades are even close to equal value to the Toyota.

Just because Toyotas are new to you doesn't mean you wont come to love it.

They're all capable vehicles... but a '05 taco with the 41k miles is what I'd go with for sure. Any pics?

Yeah that is what I thought...keep it. I don't have anyone on my end to talk this over with, so all of you were asked. As to pics, as soon as it warms up a tad, I'll take a heap of them. Seems that winter is hanging on far too long this year.

Sorry to hear about your dad, he sounds like a man with good taste in trucks. Hang on to this rig, even if the other vehicles were fair trades, the utility of the access cab is worth the sacrifice in wheelbase, everyday and when on excursions.

It is a TRD with towing package. "TRD Off-Road Package # 1 with towing package" What that all means I have no bloody clue yet...but was with father when he bought it. He always loved toys.

As to the insults, yeah I am not happy with them asking me about it, but my extended family are greedy folks and think more about themselves than others. It's all about them looking better than others.

I don't see a predicament at all. Keep the 05 Access Cab TRD obviously. The other trades are insults since they're not even close in value.

TRD Off-Road 4WD? Keep it. No doubt. That will be an awesome rig for years to come. Can't say the same for the XJ and the other Yota, as they'll require more maintenance.

Keep it, the other Toyota would be just fine but definatly not worth the trade for a single cab (if it was a dual cab I'd do it) but...The XJ's definatly not worth it. Sorry to hear about your fater mate, but at least something good came out of something bad eh, now you've got a Toyota and you can experience what it's like to drive for years without issue. Plus it'll remind you of someone special and maybe that'll make it even sweeter to drive.
