Hey all....
My mother-in-law has a UZJ100 (00') Toyota Land Cruiser...Sweet rig!!! :smiley_drive: (Yes..Toyota runs in the family!!:av-7: )
Other day....she were driving around town when a loud beeping noise went off in the cab..It sounded like the door chime was stuck on but instead of a "beep..beep"...it was a long delayed almost constant beeeeeeep if you know what i mean...sounded like it was having a heart attack!!!..or has my mother-in-law put it..."shes going to blow!!"
She took the cruiser while this "beeeeeeeeep" is going on to a Jiffy Lube station were they tryed to reset the main computer by pulling the ground off the battery...Minute later....still made the loud noise......
Then she drove the cruiser down to the local Toyota dealer (still making the noise) were they told her that her internal relay system needs to be replaced at a heafty cost around $1000....
The service guy told her that he has only seen this in one other cruiser like hers......
Has any one out their experienced this before????
My mother-in-law told me that the car drives like normal(no lights coming on on the dash etc..).....I'm wondering if this is a safety thing or can i just find that special wire and cut the thing making the noise???
:Mechanic:
What do you guys think???
Another question......
In Utah....Instead of breaking the bank on getting it fixed at a Toyota dealership....Is there any good Japanese repair shops in Utah county?
Thxs guys!!
