A few shots from the race. I was suffering because it was unbelievably hot with no wind, not fun at all. First time I've felt that way in 30 years of racing.

I love your ideas but I don't do any onsite retail sales and a wrap like that would be expensive. The house paint is cheap!

I didn't mean to inadvertently compare your gig to the kiosk at the end of an amusement park rollercoaster. Was just trying to say it seems like a great opportunity / method of advertising your services. I was presuming a portion of your revenue was connected to the individual participants. I'll leave it be, didn't mean to paddle in your revenue streams. I'm just a fan of sole proprietorships.

I'll keep kibbitzing in the 'idea' area. It's been too hot again to work, my own sewing stuff sits abandoned in my hot garage. Had hoped ot be done with my Mk1 awnings by Labor Day. Be lucky to be done by Halloween, at this rate.

eta those are more great pics. You ever get any closeups of the gritty drivers? or the post-race mess?

Ha, Ha, Ha, the revenue stream is more like a dry riverbed. I appreciate your input as always. Keep the ideas coming.

Built a cart to put my truck bed on while I fabricate the box mounts. Looking to keep the box as low as possible and still have room for the uhaul slide out ramp. I may have to modify the factory x-members to make room for it. I need some time between races to get this done.

Off to Parker, Az for the Best in the Desert Blue Water Challenge race. Always great photo ops there! Temps are supposed to be 100 degrees all weekend. :chef: Once I return it will be time to pull the bed off and mount the box; I'm excited to be making progress!

Road I planned to take on race day, too sketchy! farther up it turns into a trench filled with boulders.

Camp Friday night.

Saturday's sunrise.

Sunday's sunrise.

There were some vintage offroad cars racing at the Parker race. Glad to see these cars being preserved and run in anger at the same time. :sombrero:

I got this email a little while ago, pretty stoked.

Hey Mike! I'm happy to let you know that one of your photos was selected to be on display for the SEMA Garage. If you agree to the terms it will hang from the most prominent location in the garage where many thousands of people will see it! Congrats it won over 1000 other images from 100 photographers.
Terms:
1. Each image will be printed on brushed aluminum at 3 x 8'. Massive. So this means the format will be cropped. Please let me know this is ok with you (image attached cropped).
2. Photo credit will be given in the form of a plaque that will hang on the wall next to the photo.
Let me know if you are cool with all this. I hope to work with you in the future. Again congrats...I’d like you to know that you had several images in the final selecting. Your images were very popular with the judges. There may be other images chosen in the future but for now only 6 were chosen.

I also got paid! :D
