Looking forward to seeing this progress. I currently use my XK (Commander) as my family backwoods explorer. Not a popular choice in the overland community but it's what I have. I scored 5 Moab take off for $150. Keep up the great work sir.

If I was going to spend more money then then I did on this second vehicle, wife has prius and I have my chevy 2500, the XK was a serious contender for me. I love the look and for what I plan on doing with the vehicle it would have worked out great.

Everything is here but man it's cold out! Wish I had a garage. I need to fish around for a buddy that will lend a hand with thier garage lol. Hoping to lift it soon.

Sounds like fun; Welcome to the board. It is always good to see another WJ being used for something other than soccer mom duty. You got a good kit there. IMHO 3 inches is the perfect amount of lift for a DD/WW WJ. Great call on the Bilsteins too; I love the ride on mine. If you have not already done so, I would look into installing an adjustable Track Bar from JKS or IRO. That way you can center your axle back up after you lift it. Good luck.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been here for a long time just don't post so much. Hopefully I'll get around to posting more often now that I got another jeep. I ordered the adjustable front track bar with th kit instead of the fixed one.

I think every Jeep ever made is a fine expedition vehicle, well maybe the Compass and the other AWD car they made not so much, but that's just my opinion. I always thought the Grand would make a great family type adventure rig. I have bought a few very dirty vehicles way under value, it's funny how laziness will separate money! Best buy was a 1998 H1 4 door, nice low miler, never ever washed, interior sounds like yours, it was gross in fact we found a green fuzzy stick about 6" long and 1 1/2" in outer fuzz diameter that stunk like hell in it, turns out it was a pepperoni stick! I paid $31K for it, cleaned it, drove it for 3 years, sold it for $57K!

That is a very good deal! Lol

Nothing major but some fun interior stuff. Not pictured but cb coax cable and mount came. Antenna tomorrow. Cb will be hooked up during the weekend. I'm thinking I'll finally lift it next week.

Love the WJ. I really wish there was a better support for them. The cherokee is starting to disapear and the WJ is plentiful. The 4in long arm and JK takeoffs on mine is fantastic but i need recovery points too.

I have rear hitch shackle and Fawkes fab shackle tabs up front. I also wished I ponied up to the long arms but for now I'll run the IRO 3" kit with bilstein 5100. Should be fine but long arms in the future if/when I decide on 33's or bigger.

I've had zj' sand xj' sin the past. I'm guessing over next few years when the WJ becomes even more affordable more people will use them. I enjoy being "different" for now.

i saw those shakle tabs. too much moola for my blood. I found a brush guard im going to build up with some plate and reinforce to hook a Dring too
