Wow:Wow1:Steinez, HUGE:wings:progress you have done on your project. Your welding technique is also looking really good. You are obviously getting a lot of practice. Just a suggestion here, maybe put an extra idler wheel somewhere inbetween the drive sprocket and the hub so that your chain does not fall off. The wheel does not need to have teeth as it is only used to keep the chain running in a straight line. Once again, good work and it looks like you will be finished in time for the 4by4 event in May. Cheers, Chilli.:)

Thanks. The tire changing season is almost over, so i can put a lot more work into it. I`ll be ready for the event if everything works as it`s supposed to (i have a feeling that it won`t)...

I`ll first try it without an idler wheel. I`ll just put some tension on the chain and try it. If it doesn`t work i`ll use a so called "Roll-Ring" chain tensioner. It`s a really easy way...

Finished the gas tank and seat mount today. First i finished welding the tank:

Then i placed it in the chassis and made some mounts:

The filler neck fits perfect, i just have to shorten it:

Then i started measuring for seat height:

And started fabbing some mounts:

Mocked up:

And welded everything:

Looks like i could be able to test drive it saturday or monday...

Sounds cool:Wow1: about the fact that your rig could be ready for a test drive soon. Just curious, is the gas tank not really close to the engine, or am I just imagining that? you dont want a strong heat source too close to the tank. Keep up the good work. There are lots of us who like the way your project is coming along Steinez!:)
