Rear bumper finally goes out for powdercoating tomorrow. If we're lucky we could have it by end of the week.

The awning and the roof top basket used on this build are just awesome. (plus the bumpers, and lights.....)
It's cool that you had access to corner bits to build the roof top basket. There is much of this build that I wish to duplicate.

Had new U bolts bent up for the rear axle.

I broke down the new 3/4ton springs. They are U.S. made but they need to come up with a better rust preventative. They were coated with what looked like dried Cosmoline. They would not budge and even when I took the centering bolt out they slowly pulled apart from the "stuff". I then removed all the extra "stuff" and gave each leaf a nice layer of Lithium. I then reassembled the pack and now they move freely.

First time its sitting on the new springs and axles. The picture is a bit deceiving but its sitting level right now. I am hoping the front will settle a bit more or maybe take the HD leaf out fo the front. I need the rear to sit about a 1-2" higher so it levels off when i build the interior and add the rear bumper. The rear has the 1" zero rates I made.

Looks good though dont it?:woot:

Our 20lb Co2 tank mount did not have any way of being secure. So to prevent it from ever walking off I made a simple padlock ring through the handle.

HINT: the washer I used was a left over u-bolt washer and those are like 3/16" thick.

This was just a "kill time" project while I wait for the parts store to get in more calipers so I can pick and choose. and for those wondering what I am talking about

"Another friggin delay. Both of the calipers I got leak at the washer. Upon further inspection I noticed at the banjo bolt on the caliper body, one barely has the sealing rings and the other HAD NO RINGS at all! I would hit the brakes and loose a shot glass worth right onto the floor.

I'll post up pick on this later. there is not reason these should have made it past QC."

What base vehicle are you sourcing brake parts for? Given that you have an axle swap now.
