...
partly because i don't have a shop or garage and it's illegal in germany to work on cars on the road.
partly because it's hard to re-adjust to real winters and i don't feel like doing much...

you're welcomeI've burned through my ARB hose TWICE now. I'm going to steal you mod...thanks for the idea!
man, us too - for sure!!!I miss the old Jeep.
Looks good. Would they have let you put rubber pads on it or something instead of cutting it off? I always think if a pedestrian is crashed into by a car, if you are driving fast enough to cause damage, then it won't matter if there is a little thicker piece of metal or a harder material.ARB continues...
we got front and rear bumpers as well as the rocker rails:
the front bumper had to be slightly modified (unfortunately). here in germany we have the hassle of the TÜV (tech. inspection), a very picky sort of institution...
therefore we had to cut off the hoop because it is not 'pedestrian conform'.[/IMG]
some cops like to be on the look for modified vehicles. when they pull you over, they see in your registration whether it's checked and approved or not. all mods are listed on your paperwork...who would know if you didn't?
you're not the only one thinking that - and the rediculous thing:I always think if a pedestrian is crashed into by a car, if you are driving fast enough to cause damage, then it won't matter if there is a little thicker piece of metal or a harder material.
