Proper Tongue Weight

I could use a nice mounting system for my Lowrance 540C Steve ;)

Seriously tho.....I am planning to move both of my Dekas' into the main compartment of my Horizon next to the Engle. Its actually not much of a modification for the wiring either as I am going to leave the "guts" so to speak, in the nose box and simply run power to the rear of the trailer through the frame. The boxes will provide a nice raised platform so the reality is that there is no huge loss of space. I plan to store my shower and related equipment in the nose box once its opened up. The weight won't even be 1/2 that of the Deka's

I had not thought about moving both batteries to the box but it might work, the nose could be used for cleaning and toilet items and as you say the boxes in back might be a good shelf.. Mario needs to let us have a look see.. As for your mounting system didn't I send a picture to you? Tell me how I could help and I would be more than happy to try.

Figured that I was just wondering why you would speak about that and not a good libation. Have you had any luck mounting it like you want?

I have my battery in the main compartment on my Chaser. This is the battery box Mario used when I requested it this way:

It is very stout- no problems stacking stuff on it.
In addition to better weight distribution, I find the nose box a very convenient storage area, so I wanted to use it for things I would access frequently. Having the battery at the bottom of the main compartment is good since stuff is a little harder to access there and I don't need to get to it often.

Thanks for you info on the battery boxes, I like both AT's as well as yours jbs, where have you mounted yours in the Chaser and have you run wires to the nose box? I might be needing a few long cables, any ideas?
