Put the arch back in my Skamper roof.

I rebuilt the roof on my skamper and was very pleased BUT there was no arch in the roof anymore and that concerned me. I researched this problem online and found many different things people had done. Some used wood some metal. I got my Dad to come down and look at it because he had been a metal fabricator for 40 years and I knew he would have some ideas. We took a piece of unistrut and put a big arch in it a little more than it needed, then we made some brackets out of flat bar. We measured and pre fit a the brackets and unistrut then took the canvas loose on both sides only about 2 ft slid it over the lifting bars and it fit perfect. We had already drilled holes in the brackets so we just drilled through the sides of the top put fender washers on and tightened it down good. We had jacked up the roof with a 4x4 and floor jack so it was time to release the floor jack and put the weight on the unistrut, WOW it worked perfect. I had used rubber washers behind the bolts along with plumbers putty then liquid rubber on the outside of that. I will take some pics tomorrow before I reattach the canvas. I'm very proud of the results. I'll post the pics tomorrow.

Here are some pics.

These pics are not the best, it was getting dark and the lights in the camper made it difficult to take good pic with a phone. The one with my hand holding the canvas down is the bracket that fits in the unistrut.

Newb here, just brought home my new TC: 1995 Skamper 080. The roof is also sagging. Is it possible to post some additional photos? I need to do this mod. How did you radius the strut?
