Last Saturday, a buddy and I set out on a daylong adventure. Leaving Puyallup at 0830, we made the 187 mile trek along the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route to Bridge of the Gods in roughly ten hours. The trail varies between paved highway, chipseal, improved gravel roads, and rutted/rocky/muddy/etc dual track. This is a great trail for anyone with a stock truck, or new to off-roading. The most technical parts of the trail consisted of picking lines between rocks, ruts, and giant potholes. I never needed 4x4, and I can't imagine anyone would unless the trail was significantly more muddy. Several parts of the trail follow mountain ridgelines, making for some beautiful views. We lucked out with the day we did. The day before it had rained heavily, but was warm and sunny the day of the trip. This meant minimal mud, minimal dust, and maximum view. This is the route we took: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zTvfqBSBb6KU.kVR4UrSZy-qs&usp=sharing
So, without further ado, and in roughly chronological order, here are the pictures my friend took along the way. He also took a bunch of video which I'll edit and upload later, along with all the pictures I took.
